What is Thyroid Eye Disease
Eyelid and orbital (the bony chamber that houses the eyes) disorders are common in patients with thyroid problems. The upper and lower lids frequently retract, causing the eyes to become prominent (proptosis).
Treatment
Medical or surgical management can be provided depending on the stage of the disease, whether active or inert.
