For some patients, inverted eyelashes (trichiasis) are a prevalent source of recurring ocular discomfort. A foreign body sensation, localised conjunctival injection, discomfort, and photophobia can occur when an inverted lash (or lashes) comes into contact with the conjunctiva and/or cornea. The treatment of inverted eyelashes can be difficult for the doctor as well as frustrating for the patient, especially if it necessitates multiple visits.
Distichiasis is a condition in which there is an extra row of eyelashes rubbing the cornia and conjuctiva causing discomfort.
Treatment for lash abnormality can be electroepilation or surgical procedure
